TREATMENT OF MIMIC WRINKLES
Many wrinkles develop in the course of life through the use of our mimic muscles. Wrinkles are then mostly found in the area of the forehead, between the eyebrows and in the eye area. The treatment of these mimic wrinkles with botulinum toxin A is gentle but effective and has been established for many years. Patients often express fear of frozen facial expressions and a loss of personal facial expression. Let me reassure you. We aim for a discreet but best possible result with the help of a moderately applied dose.
BOTULINUM TOXIN A - TRIED AND TESTED FOR MANY YEARS
Botulinum Toxin A reduces the transmission of stimuli to the muscle. The mobility of the mimic muscles is thus prevented. The effect sets in after about two to three days and takes up to fourteen days to fully develop. The result lasts about four to six months and is reversible. The durability is individual for each person and is influenced by factors such as sun exposure, sports or sauna sessions. The effect does not wear off abruptly. Bit by bit, the mobility of the mimic musculature in the treated area returns very gently.
You can easily combine the treatment with Botox and with other procedures such as hyaluronic acid. Sometimes it is even recommended, if you have further questions or concerns, we can discuss them in a consultation.
